Xero offers two types of invoicing – Classic Invoicing and New Invoicing.

Classic Invoicing

New Invoicing

Xero’s new invoicing screen is more intuitive and allows faster data entry. It automatically saves every few seconds, so you do not have to worry about losing data.

Step-By-Step Guide: How To Create An Invoice In Xero

Select the ‘New Invoice’ option

  • Navigate to the Xero Dashboard.
  • Click on the ‘Invoice’ icon and select ‘New Invoice’.

Enter the invoice details

  • Start typing the customer’s name in the ‘Contact’ field. Xero will suggest existing contacts; you can click the contact name to populate the details automatically.
